There are thousands of accident blackspots around the country, and one by one they're being marked by police speed cameras to help you to identify them and slow down. But sometimes these blackspots aren't identified very clearly because these markers are accidentally hidden behind road signs and obscured by trees, such as this one (below) painted green on Epsom Road, Merrow.

Police in the UK have introduced speed cameras in increasing numbers over recent years, supposedly to prevent accidents at known black spots, and not just to raise revenue as is commonly claimed. In the interests of road safety and to prevent speeding this page has been specially set aside to educate owners of Sevens about these known black spots. By raising awareness of where they are we can all slow down when nearing them and help improve road safety. Please note that the list below is not exhaustive and may change or be added to on a regular basis. Currently the Surrey Police unfortunately do not list the Surrey Mobile Speed Camera Sites. Hopefully they will soon rectify this so we know where more black spots are.
