We arrived in the port of Le Havre after an overnight ferry ride. The cabins were surprising comfortable and the trip was quite calm. Sevens took off in all directions and were seen whizzing around for the next half hour. It was a case of someone looking like they knew where to go and suddenly being followed by half a dozen others.
We formed a little convoy of Jeb, Knowley, Adrian and myself and headed South. Along the way the roads were clear except for the occasional wide load semi with a few other trucks following. We blasted past these with ease and were making such great time that we decided to pull in and have a late breakfast / early lunch break at a tiny French town. All the locals came out to see what the noise was and asked all the obligatory questions.
After some tasty food we headed on to Le Mans using the trusty satellite navigation units to find our way. There were a few police around but not many as we were arriving a few days before the actual race began.
